Girl Scouts Build Shelters at BAHS
Girl Scouts Ms. Rachael Broderick and Rebekah Seal designed and constructed two pet shelters for BAHS. As part of fulfilling the requirements of their Silver Award Projects, they raised over $500.00 to cover the cost of the materials, and then built the two covered shelters, one for each of two of our play group enclosures.
Mr. Tom Blacklock, the BAHS Scout Project Coordinator, said “The shelters are truly magnificent and are one of the best Scout projects completed for BAHS. The Shelters are extremely well constructed, and have floors and roofs that will shelter our furry residents from the sun and rain while they are out in their daily play groups.”
Bulverde Area Humane Society is honored to receive these fine additions to our facility from these young ladies. A plaque has been proudly placed recognizing their contribution, and Girl Scout Troop #4595, Southwest Texas Unit.
